DePauw claims Setter of the Week award

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Junior setter Jacob DePauw earned Morningside's first GPAC Setter of the Week award for the 2024 season for his play last weekend, announced by the conference Tuesday morning.

In three matches, the junior from South Beloit, Illinois averaged 9.25 assists per set to go with 17 digs and four blocks for the Mustangs. The highlight of the weekend came in the first match against St. Ambrose, where DePauw set the program record for assists in a four set match, tallying 53 in a win over the Bees. 

He has over 300 assists early into this season, and is three shy of 1,700 for his career. DePauw and the Mustangs return to the court Saturday against Viterbo at Noon inside Allee Gymnasium and the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center.
