DePauw named second-team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators

AUSTIN, TEXAS – College Sports Communicators announced its Academic All-Americans for the 2022 at-large group today, naming Jacob DePauw to the second team for the multi-sport grouping, which includes men's volleyball, cheer, dance, bowling, lacrosse, and wrestling.

DePauw, a sophomore from South Beloit, Ill., averaged 8.66 assists per set, totaling 606 on the season. He had 34 service aces, securing school records for aces per set, at .49, and aces in a four-set match record, with six.

The setter, playing the entire floor for most of the season, also had 110 digs and 19 total blocks.

The CSC Academic All-American program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for a combination of success on the field and in the classroom, requiring that nominees maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better and participate in at least 50 percent of games played in a season.
