OSKALOOSA, IOWA – The Mustangs took their first swings in a quadrangular hosted by William Penn University today, crossing paths with a familiar face, St. Ambrose University.  Morningside was stung by the Fighting Bees in the second meeting of the two teams, again to the tune of a 3-2 loss, 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 28-30, and 11-15.

Jacob DePauw led the way on the defensive front, with three block assists and a solo block.  Tharen Cox, Erik Krenz, and Dylan Hamil each had three block assists on the way to a team total of seven blocks.

Owen Anderson led the way behind the block, scooping 12 of the Mustangs' 41 digs.  Isaiah and Jacob Baynes followed, with nine and eight, respectively.

The brothers Baynes led the way on the attack, too, with Isaiah striking for 27 kills and Jacob good for 18.  Dylan Hamil rounded out Morningside's double digit attackers, with 10.
