Men's javelin squad places well at Red Raider Open
ORANGE CITY, IOWA –The Mustangs' men's javelin throw squad was the highlight of the Northwestern Red Raider Open for Morningside, as the conditions prompted a number of competing institutions to take measures to protect their athletes from injuries that can be more prevalent when trying to compete in the cold.
Luke Paulsen led the way for the Mustangs with a throw of 48.95 meters, taking the no. 3 spot in the final standings. Keyan Fulton followed at no. 4 with a throw of 47.49 meters, and Tom Moss placed eighth with a throw of 38.42 meters.
Easton Patterson, Ausin McClain, John Groetken, and Alex Essau all placed in the top 20 in the event, throwing 36.37 meters, 35.33 meters, and 28.64 meters, respectively.
Morningside is back in action on April 25, sending a delegation to the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolf Outdoor Invite.
