Nine top 10 finishes for the Mustangs in Missouri Saturday

FAYETTE, Mo. – The Mustangs had nine top 10 finishes at the Central Methodist Invite Saturday in Fayette, Missouri.

Three Mustangs finished with fifth place finishes on the day. Eein McKinley took fifth in the 5,000-meters by running 16:20.57. Boston Riedemann took fifth in the 110-hurdles (17.2) and Blake Brown also placed fifth in 100-meters (10.93).

Two Morningside runners placed in the top 10 in the 800, as Kadyn Cline took seventh in 1:59.47 and Casey Kruger took ninth in 2:00.18. Jack Kling took seventh in the 400 with a time of 50.97 and Leighton Olesen ran 10th in the 200 at 22.21. Garrett Hanson ran 4:08.83 for eighth in the 1,500.

The 400-meter relay team of Olesen, Brown, Cline, and Kling took fifth as well, running 42.33. The 1,600 relay team of Hanson, Braden Sonksen, Austin Ramold, and RC Hicks placed ninth with a time of 3:37.82. 

The Mustangs are at the USD Early Bird meet in Vermillion next weekend.
