Trenkle, Diaz add 'Academic All-American' to season resumes
GREENWOOD, IND. – The Morningside men's tennis team added two more individual player accolades to the trophy case today as College Sports Communicators revealed its 2025 Academic All-America teams. The group awarded Mark Trenkle with first team honors and named Alexis Diaz to its second team.
Trenkle, a senior from Lahr, Germany, received second team honors last season. He and Diaz, a junior from Bassens, France, join 10 other athletes in receiving Academic All-America honors. The two were selected from a field of 56 Academic All-District honorees and join three previous Morningside men's honorees with the title of Academic All-American.
Prior to the 2022-23 season, College Sports Communicators, and previously CoSIDA, included tennis in the at-large voting group for Academic All-District and Academic All-America honors.
