Mustang men sweep Iowa Lakes Dual

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside ran the table in its home men's swimming debut, touching the wall first in all 11 events held in the Hindman-Hobbs Center's pool on October 26. The Mustangs won the day's dual against Iowa Lakes, 157-31.

Newcomer Justin Bay's impact was felt almost immediately, as he took individual titles in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke and was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team alongside Caden Morton, Walker Goebel, and John Spicer.

Spicer took the title in the 100-yard freestyle and was part of the 200-yard freestyle relay-winning team of Jack La Rue, Morton, and Cael Jensen.

Walker added an individual victory in the 200-yard individual medley and finished behind Spicer in the 100-yard freestyle. Jensen also took the 100-yard backstroke title.

The Mustangs are back in their home pool on Saturday, competing against Gustavus Adolphus at noon.
