Mustang men compete at Gustavus Adolphus

ST. PETER, MINN. – Morningside mens' swimming was in action early as the team's milers arrived at Gustavus Adolphus College bright and early to swim the 1650-yard freestyle.

Walker Goebel swam his way to fifth place with a time of 18:52.21 and Ben No swam into eighth place with a time of 20:14.99.

Later in the day, Cody Natali, Caden Morton, James Camp, and JR Albers swam into fifth place with a time of 1:40.72 for the 200 medley relay.

In the 200-yard freestyle Willy Pinnow touched the wall at 1:49.06, good for fifth place.

Natli had a great swim in the 100-yard backstroke taking the first place spot with a time of 55.46. MK Mkhize also had a great swim touching the wall at 58.52, good for third place.

For the 200 freestyle relay Albers, Camp, Pinnow, and Mkhize placed fifth with a time of 1:32.29.

In the 200-yard breaststroke, Morton took fourth place with a time of 2:24.25.

Pinnow and Natali had more top five finishes in the 200-yard backstroke. Pinnow swam to second place with a time of 2:07.14, and Natali touched just behind him in third place with a time of 2:07.50.

Mkhize represented Morningside well in the 200-yard individual medley, touching the wall at 2:08.17 for second place.

Morningside swimmers will be back on the road for the Macalester College Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
