Jackie Martinez joined the Mustangs' coaching staff prior to the 2017 season.

Martinez, a 2018 Morningside graduate who majored in Spanish, was a starting midfielder for the Mustangs during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. She tallied six goals and six assists for 18 points during her Morningside career.

Martinez scored one of the biggest goals in the history of the Mustangs’ women’s soccer program when she tallied the game winner with 38 seconds left to lift the Mustangs to a 2-1 victory against Concordia in the 2015 GPAC Post-Season Tournament Championship to send them to the NAIA National Tournament.

She played at Iowa Central Community College prior to Morningside.
