SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Mustangs blew open a tight Great Plains Athletic Conference match early in the second half, as Morningside sent Dordt University back to Sioux Center on the short end of a 3-0 contest.
It was Niklas Kneller that netted the game winner, connecting on a pass from Yannik Vogel for a 1-0 advantage.
Max Sickenberger upped the ante moments later, when a beautifully struck corner kick curled as it passed over the Defender defense and landed in the goal.
Vogel again got his name in the books as he found Tasillo Koerner in the 66th minute to put the final nail in Dordt's coffin.
The Mustangs head to Concordia on Saturday, looking to stay hot against a sound Bulldog squad at 8 p.m.
