SIOUX CITY, IOWA – A scoreless first half didn't hold up through the second half as Morningside fell to Briar Cliff, 2-1, in Great Plains Athletic Conference men's soccer action.
Morningside's goal, the game's first, was scored by GPAC Offensive Player of the Week Bennet Wesselkaemper in the 65th minute when he found the back of the net on a pass from Gustavo Dos Santos.
Tim Teschner had five saves as he took the loss in the contest, all coming in the second half.
The Mustangs are back in action on Saturday, traveling to Midland for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
