YANKTON, S.D. – A second half goal from the Lancers gives Mount Marty a 1-0 win over Morningside Saturday evening in Yankton.
The Mustangs had their opportunities throughout the match, totaling 15 shots, 11 on goal. Yannik Vogel had four shots on goal to lead the Mustangs.
Oliver Melander had a save in 41 minutes and 33 seconds of action. Timon Koerber played 48 minutes and 27 seconds in goal as well.
Morningside has one regular season match remaining, and are currently tied with Hastings for fourth in the GPAC at 4-3-3 in conference play. Morningside hosts Dakota Wesleyan Oct. 28 for Senior Day. Hastings is at home against Dordt Wednesday. Dordt is 4-3-2, sitting one point behind the Mustangs and Broncos.
