Koerber earns first GPAC Player of the Week award of the season

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – For the first time this season, Morningside men's soccer team has a GPAC Player of the Week, as Timon Koerber's performance in goal earned him defensive player of the week.

Koerber has yet to record a loss on his record, going 4-0-1 in five starts and six appearances. Last week, the sophomore from Gruenwald, Germany, totaled seven saves on an .875 save percentage in two Morningside victories. He gave up his first goal of the season at Hastings Saturday, but the Mustangs won 3-1.

Koerber has 21 saves on a .955 save percentage and has four shutouts on his record. 

Morningside is back in action Wednesday at Concordia and again Saturday at home versus Dordt.
