Lusch tabbed GPAC Offensive Player of Week

Senior midfielder Moritz Lusch's big week during Sept. 6-12 caught the eye of the Great Plains Athletic Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Lusch, a native of Bielefield, Germany, earned the league's Offensive Player of the Week moniker. He scored in back-to-back matches and led a Morningside University offense that registered nine total scores against NAIA No. 8-ranked Bellevue and NCAA Division II opponent Saint Cloud State. He ended the week with eight points, highlighted by back-to-back goals, including a game-winner, as the Mustangs, receiving votes on the recent National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' poll, upended Bellevue 4-1 and St. Cloud St. 5-1. The spotlight of the span was a two-goal, two-assist outing at SCSU on Sept. 11.
