Huth picks up weekly conference honor

Morningside University junior goalkeeper Bjarne Huth (Bad Vilbel, Germany) was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference's men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Aug. 30-Sept. 5.

Huth helped lift the Mustangs to their first victory of the season on Sept. 5. He kept the home goal clean of visiting scores for better than 107 minutes of a double-overtime battle against Cardinal Stritch College of Wisconsin. His sixth career shutout keyed a 1-0 Mside decision.
