Bio

Maria Zorilla, originally from Torreon, Cahuila Mexico joins our coaching staff in 2023 after graduating from Morningside University in 2022 after an illustrious playing and academic career. 

Maria played five years for the Mustangs and was named 1^st Team All GPAC in all five of her seasons. Maria collected five wins in her career. She finished as Morningside’s all-time leader in birdies, counting scores, rounds played, and sits fourth on the all-time Women’s career scoring average list. During her time at Morningside, she volunteered with numerous Youth Golf Groups, including The First Tee of Woodbury County.

After graduating from Morningside, she remained in Sioux City to begin her career in the Human Resources field.
