
Mustangs place third in GPAC Championship
BEATRICE, NEB. – Morningside was no match for a sharp-shooting Northwestern team at this week's Great Plains Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship, as the Mustangs placed third, three strokes behind no. 2 Hastings and 41 behind the undisputed leaders in the clubhouse.
Finn Coull was the leader on the links for Morningside, placing no. 11 overall with 222 strokes or six over par in the three-round event as he recorded a 74 in each round.
Tyler Show climbed one spot in the final round to end up in a three-way tie for the no. 13 spot, carding a 224 at eight-over. Ariel Lev climbed 12 spots to finish in a tie for 16th at 226 strokes and Ryan Cavanaugh shared the no. 18 position at 227 strokes.
The GPAC finale represents Morningside's third top-3 finish this spring and fifth of the season.
