
Coull, Cavanaugh finish in Top 30 at Midwest Spring National Invite
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Finn Coull led the Morningside men's golf team on Tuesday with a Top 30 finish at the National Midwest Invitational, hosted by Kansas Wesleyan at Colbert Hills Golf Course.
Coull finished 24th with a 54-hole score of 226, including a 73 during the second round on Monday. He ended up 12 strokes over par.
Ryan Cavanaugh finished in a tie for 26th, ending up with 227 and 13-over-par.
Darragh McGrath and Tyler Show each finished in a five-man tie at 54th, and carded a 23-over par week. Ben Brodin was +36, and placed 67th.
Show had three birdies during Tuesday's round, and overall, the Mustangs had 24.
The Mustangs — which finished 10th on the team leaderboard — was sixth among the field on Par 4s, averaging 4.36 strokes on those holes.
Next up for the Mustangs is the Red Raider Classic at Landsmeer Golf Club on Monday. This is changed from the previously scheduled date of the 14th.
