Mustangs place sixth at Texas Invitational

PROSPER, Texas — The Morningside men's golf team resumed its season with a sixth-place performance recently at the Texas Invitational at Gentle Creek Golf Course.

Ryan Cavanaugh led the Mustangs with a 54-hole score of 222, good for 12th place. He shot six-over par over the course of the three-day tournament. His Day 3 round was good for one-under.

Finn Coull placed in 25th place with a three-day score of 228. Ariel Lev was 14-over with a 230, and he placed in 30th. Brock Lutterman placed 37th (234), while Darragh McGrath was 48th (239).

Morningside carded 29 birdies and 162 pars during the tournament.
