Coull leads Mustangs at TPC Deere Run

SILVIS, ILL. – A highly competitive field at the 2024 NAIA National Preview, hosted by St. Ambrose University, saw Morningside place no. 11 in a field of 24 teams, shooting 49 over at TPC Deere Run, the site of the 2025 Men's Golf National Championship.

The challenging course saw Mount Mercy take the event championship, shooting a +14 over two rounds. 

Finn Coull led the Mustangs on the links, tying for 31st with a two-day total of 151, just nine over par. Only two golfers managed to finish below par and an eight-way tie emerged for 13th place at +6.

Pablo Colin was right behind Coull for Morningside, Turning in a 152 to tie for 33rd place. Jacob Taweel tied for 49th with a 157, and Darragh McGrath tied for 53rd with a 158.

Morningside's next outing comes in the form of its own event, The Mustang Derby, held October 7 and 8 at Dakota Dunes and Whispering Creek.
