Mustangs make moves in Siouxland Invite

ORANGE CITY, IOWA – Morningside improved its standing in the two-day, three-round Siouxland Invite, co-hosted by Dordt and Northwestern in the final 18 holes. Before play began on day two, the Mustangs found themselves sitting in sixth place, but by the time the final ball was retrieved from the final cup, they had moved up to fifth place with a total of 880 strokes.

Morningside's squad was led by Darragh McGrath, who ended up four strokes over par overall, finished today's round down one stroke, shooting a 217. Finn Coull followed, with a 220, and Jacob Taweel and Ryan Cavanaugh each turned in two-day totals of 223.

The Mustangs are back on the course next week, competing in the Northwest Iowa National Invitational in Le Mars on Monday and Tuesday.
