Morningside takes team title at Southeast CC Invitational Monday

BEATRICE, Neb. –  For the first time in nearly a month, the Morningside men's golf team hit the course, winning the Southeast Community College Spring Invitational Monday in Beatrice, Nebraska.

Edgar Eriksson led the Mustangs with an even par 72 to win the individual title. The Mustangs finished at 10-over as a team, besting the host team by a shot. Concordia, Hastings, and Doane rounded out the top five teams.

After Eriksson, the other three Morningside scorers finished inside the top 10. Braden Bernaldo finished at 2-over, followed by Mason Burger and Pablo Colin at 4-over. Bernaldo finished fourth and Burger and Colin finished tied for eighth. 

The Mustangs are back in action at the Midwest Spring National Invite hosted by Kansas Wesleyan Monday and Tuesday in Manhattan, Kansas.
