YANKTON, S.D. – A 55-38 margin in the second half lifted Morningside's men to another Great Plains Athletic Conference win, with a final score of 91-75. The Mustangs trailed 37-36 at halftime.
Morningside's shots started to fall in the second half, shooting 65.4 percent as a team in the second period, up from 46.2 percent in the first.
Joey Skoff led Morningside's scoring, with 30 points, while Daniel Brocaille added 28 of his own and Brendan Buckley had 10 points. Justin Sitti tallied eight assists in the effort.
Brocaille recorded a double-double in the contest as he paired his 28 points with 10 rebounds to lead the Mustangs on the boards. Buckley had eight rebounds. Sitti had a game-high five steals.
Morningside hosts Waldorf on Wednesday night, with the tip scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
