Morningside places five on GPAC men's basketball honors list

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Great Plains Athletic Conference announced its 2023 men's basketball honors today, with Morningside represented throughout the release.

Joey Skoff and Ely Doble headlined the honors list for the Mustangs, with the pair of juniors landing on the first team. 

Aidan Vanderloo was named to the second all-conference team, with Jack Dotzler and Trey Powers receiving the honorable mention nod. 

Powers' list of honors didn't conclude there, though, as the senior from Omaha, Neb. landed the GPAC Defensive Player of the Year title.

Trent Miller, in his second year as head coach of the Mustangs, was named GPAC Coach of the Year.
