Carter picks up second successive GPAC weekly award

Morningside University junior placekicker Chase Carter (Knoxville, Iowa) was honored by the Great Plains Athletic Conference on its Player of the Week honors for Oct. 25-31.

Carter picked up his second successive Special Teams Player of The Week honor.

He ran his current string of made extra points to 25, converting double-digit attempts for the second time in the last three games. In addition, Carter also launched six of eight kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks.

The third-ranked Mustangs face second-ranked Northwestern College in a top of the GPAC standings showdown in Orange City Saturday, Nov. 6. The kickoff is 1 p.m. at De Valois Stadium.
