
Mustangs post pair of 80-plus point performances at Grand View
DES MOINES, IOWA – Morningside Dance made its National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics season debut, posting a pair of 80-plus point performances to sit no. 3 in the NAIA season standings.
The Mustangs' day started with a dual against Baker University, in which the Mustangs received a single deduction to score 81.75 points. Baker took the top spot in the dual, scoring 83.55 points.
Morningside's second competition of the day was a triangular with Grand View, the top-scoring team in the country and a perennial contender in the NAIA championship, and fellow Great Plains Athletic Conference member College of Saint Mary. The Mustangs scored 82.40 points in the nightcap, placing behind GV's 87.65 points, but ahead of CSM's 70.15.
Morningside takes the floor again on Friday, competing against York, before heading to Concordia on Saturday for Concordia's Day of Duals.
