Dance places six on scholar-athlete list

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar Athletes for competitive dance today, with the honorees being announced ahead of the national championships in Ypsilanti, Mich. later this week.

Morningside had six athletes receive the scholar-athlete distinction this year, Brooke Harvey, Cassandra Allen, Sinay Diaz, Callie Stephens, Samantha Snyder, and Bess Telfer.

In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
