Four Morningsiders receive all-conference honors for dance

Dance names four to all-conference list, four honorable mention

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Great Plains Athletic Conference announced its all-conference honorees for dance, following tryouts at the sport's championship on Friday at Crete, Neb. Four Mustangs earned all-conference distinctions with four more getting the nod for honorable mention.

Callie Stephens, Sinay Diaz, Jocelyn Hendrix, and Danielle Thompson all achieved the all-conference distinction, while Chloe Barcus, Riley Dohren, Brooke Harvey, and Bess Telfer received honorable mention honors.

The process for all-conference selections for dance is outlined in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics cheer coaches' handbook. Competitors are judged on leaps and turns, among other skills.

Including this year's class, 41 Mustangs have received honorable mention or all-conference honors, with Morningside represented each year that the league has bestowed honors.
