SURPRISE, Ariz. — Three different Morningside University baseball players knocked in three runs en route to a 15-6 win on Tuesday against Ottawa (Ariz.).
The three Mustangs (8-1) who had three RBIs were Luke Blackmon, Jacob O'Dell, and Corder Noun Harder. Noun Harder's three-run double came in a pinch-hit opportunity.
The Mustangs scored six runs in both the seventh and eighth innings. The key hit during the seventh inning was Giacomo Grosetti's two-run single.
In the eighth inning, Noun Harder's double broke things open.
Morningside had just seven hits in the win, with O'Dell having the only multi-hit game with two. Twelve position players were used.
The Mustangs use four men on the mound. Josh Pratt earned the win in relief, pitching six innings. He struck out seven and didn't surrender a walk. He allowed one earned run on four hits.
