Baseball drops road game at No. 15 Bellevue

OMAHA, Neb. – The Mustangs made the trek down Interstate 29 for a single game battle with No. 15 Bellevue Tuesday afternoon, falling 10-0 in seven innings.

The Mustangs totaled seven hits over seven innings, but the Bruins scored multiple runs in the second, fourth, and seventh innings of the loss.

Jayson Willers totaled two hits in three at-bats, including a double. Brian Garcia added a double. Aiden Bishop, Cade Nolan, Ryan Kiolbassa and Giacomo Crosetti recorded base hits.

Mason Hymer started the game for the Mustangs on a bullpen day. He struck out two batters in one inning of work. Josh Pratt took the loss, pitching two innings and striking out two. Tiago Sanchez, Joe Harris, and Chance Nolan pitched for Morningside in the loss.

The Mustangs are back in action Saturday in Yankton, facing Mount Marty for a doubleheader.
