Baseball puts 10 on NAIA scholar-athlete list

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar Athletes for baseball ahead of the 2023 NAIA Baseball World Series.

Morningside had 10 athletes receive the scholar-athlete distinction this year, Brady Seuntjens, Eddie Brancato, Gunnar Kale, Jackson Stephen, Joe Harris, Tanner Vercellino, Tom Leathem, Wade Canaday, Zach Hefty, and Zak Scott.

In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
