Nine Mustangs inducted into the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Society IRVING, TEXAS – The National Football Foundation announced the 2025 members of its Hampshire Honor Society earlier this week, naming nine Mustangs to this year’s honor roll. Morningside’s nine inductees is a high among National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics programs.

Four football players named to CSC Academic All-District list GREENWOOD, IND. – Four Morningside football players landed on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the CSC announced this afternoon. Lennx Brown, Brady Schlaeger, Jakob Nelson, and Isaac Pingel represented the Mustangs on the team.

AFCA, NAIA release All-American lists
WACO, TEXAS – The American Football Coaches Association and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released their All-American lists for the 2024 football season, naming three Morningside athletes to the first and second team lists.
Down 14 in the first half, the sixth-seeded Mustangs (12-1) bolstered a 21-point run that helped them defeat No. 4 Montana Western, 31-24, on the road.
Walls broke a school record with a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown early in the third quarter that helped Morningside advance to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Championship Series quarterfinals next week.
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for football, releasing this year's list ahead alongside the other fall sports.
Several Morningside University football players on Wednesday received Great Plains Athletic Conference first-, second-team, and honorable mention recognition.

Ryan named AFCA Region 4 Coach of the Year
WACO, TEXAS – For the 12th time in his career, Steve Ryan has been named the American Football Coaches Association NAIA Coach of the Year for Region 4.
