Mason Family Tennis Complex

Mason Family Tennis Complex

The Mason Family Tennis Complex is home to Mustangs' men's and women's tennis programs. The facility features six courts and is located near the intersection of South Paxton Street and Peters Avenue near the heart of the Morningside University campus.

The City of Sioux City transferred ownership of the Lewis Park tennis courts to Morningside in the fall of 2014. The public-private partnership paved the way for improvements to the courts, including a complete resurfacing and installation of new fencing and windscreens.

Renovations to the facility were completed thanks to several from Morningside alumni and friends, including Larry Mason, Dr. Charles and Patricia Mason, Tom Rosen, Richard and Frances Keith, Capt. Russell C. McComsey and alumni brothers of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.

The facility includes viewing galleries with bleacher seating, allowing for unobstructed views of some of the courts.  It also includes lighting on many of the courts, allowing extended use for campus and community members.
