Three Mustangs earn personal bests at Briar Cliff

NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. — The Morningside women's cross country team placed fourth with 134 points at the Briar Cliff Invitational on Saturday morning, finishing second among GPAC programs behind ninth-ranked Dordt.
Senior Courtney Sporrer paced the Mustangs in the 6,000-meter race, placing 13th overall in 22 minutes, 36 seconds. Junior Gabby Ryan earned a personal best to take 27th in 23:20, while freshman Estefana "Stefi" Beisswenger followed in 32nd at 23:43. Senior London Rogge also set a personal best in 24:00 to finish 38th, and senior Nicole Zuehl ran a career-best 24:29 for 46th to round out the scoring lineup.
Freshman Madison Sporrer (56th, 24:50) and Breyer Anderson (63rd, 25:04) added depth, followed by Carmen Buschkamp (67th, 25:16), Natalie Point (69th, 25:25), Jillian Fierro (100th, 27:22) and Ikilas Hasan (105th, 28:06).
