
Mustangs place third at BCU Invite
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The Mustangs had a strong performance across the board as they competed in the Briar Cliff Cross Country Invitational this weekend. Morningside’s women finished third among the teams, trailing Dordt and South Dakota State.

The Mustangs were led on the course by freshman Courtney Sporrer, who finished the fast 5K course in 19:05.16. Sophomore sister Taylor followed, crossing in 19:29.96.
Monica Olson was the third finisher for Morningside, crossing in 19:45.47. Senior Tenna Beel crossed fourth, finishing in 19:59.10. Freshman London Rogge rounded out the top five Mustangs, finishing in 20:14.11.
Sarah Bosch and Michelle Sanchez rounded out the scoring for Morningside, finishing in 20:20.73 and 20:48.22, respectively.
The Mustangs are back on the course on Saturday, competing in the Dordt University Defender Classic in Sioux Center, Iowa.
