2023 NAIA Scholar-Athletes for Women's Volleyball

Eleven women's volleyball athletes land on NAIA scholar-athlete list

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for women's volleyball, releasing this year's list ahead of the 2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center.

Morningside had 11 athletes receive the scholar-athlete distinction this year, Abigail Webb, Addyson Showalter, Cassie McDermott, Claire Wilson, Emerson Smith, Gillian DePauw, Kendyl LaShay, Lauryn Bonar, Madi Aldrich, Nienke van Drunen, and Sydney Marlow.

In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar-athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
