The Mustangs, winning for the fifth time in six league outings, roared back from a doubles point loss to edge host College of Saint Mary 4-3. Head coach Alex Struck's Mustangs used singles decisions from junior Aleks Sadowksa (Warsaw, Poland), sophomore Olivia Boudreau (Papillion, Neb.), junior Merel Kooij (Rockanje Zuid, Netherlands), and junior Shelain Lewis (Ironton, Minn.) to claim a 4-3 win at Shadow Ridge Country Club. Kooij, moving her win streak to three, and Lewis were straight-set victors at numbers five and six. Sadowska, also moving her win skein to three, and Boudreau claimed third set positives for their triumphs.
The Mustangs (11-6 overall, 5-1 GPAC) conclude regular-season action Saturday, April 23, with a trip to Hastings College.
NOTE: The doubles pairing of senior Tenly Hansen (York, Neb.) and junior Emily Clotfelter (Fairfield, Mt.) reached 10-win territory. They knocked off the Flames' Tessa Hurst and Jaclyn Negrete 7-5 at number one.
