FREMONT, NEB. – Morningside’s Lexi Carey picked up where she left off for the Mustangs, headlining the season’s debut with a pair of first place finishes. Carey wrapped up the 2024 season with a trip ton the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics national championships.
FREMONT, NEB. – Morningside's Lexi Carey picked up where she left off for the Mustangs, headlining the season's debut with a pair of first place finishes. Carey wrapped up the 2024 season with a trip ton the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics national championships.
Carey took the top spot in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:01.21 and in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:50.71.
Haley Snawerdt took first in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.11. Alice Mahoney took second in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:06.77.
Morningside hosts Iowa Lakes on October 26 at noon.
