SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Morningside University women's soccer team scored early and often Wednesday night at Elwood Olsen Stadium in a 5-0 win over Northwestern.
Keyera Harmon and Melissa Tsatiris each scored twice in the win, and both strikers found the back of the net in both halves.
Harmon started off the scoring at the 4-minute, 27-second mark, and Ida Carlsson had the assist.
Tsatiris' first goal came during the 41st minute, and Harmon returned the favor with the assist.
Harmon started off the second-half scoring with a Carlsson-assisted goal in the 49th minute.
Not long after Northwestern picked up its first goal, Mackenzie Stephens scored in the 80th minute, as Ellie Barber and Julie Raffel each had an assist on that goal.
Tsatiris scored her second goal in the 81st minute, and Barber picked up her second goal there.
Morningside took 25 shots, while the Red Raiders took 11. Head coach Tom Maxon put three goalkeepers in net. Kyla Syverson earned the win, as she played 57-plus minutes in net.
Stina Ahlund saved two shots on goal. Moriah Dixson played 14-plus minutes in net.
