Mustangs Shut Out Viterbo in Season Opener

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Morningside women's soccer team also opened its season Monday with a win over Viterbo, 1-0.

Keyera Harmon scored the lone goal of the match at the 19-minute, 58-second mark. She scored thanks to an assist from Alex McCaulley.

Morningside played two goalkeepers – Kyla Syverson and Stina Ahlund – and they combined to take five saves. Viterbo took seven total shots.

The Mustangs, meanwhile, took 14 shots. Harmon led the Mustangs with four shots. Mia Stoffel and Ida Carlsson had two.

Alma Harryson, Emma Feigl, and Tuva Hammarlund also took a shot on goal.

Morningside had nine corner kicks and held Viterbo to four.
