FREMONT, Neb. – Midland scored the first and last strikes in a 2-1 win over Morningside Saturday night.
Midland scored first in the 21st minute, but Roselynn Bosman scored on an assist from Keyera Harmon to even the match at the intermission. Midland got the advantage 3:06 into the second half and held strong to pick up a win.
Bosman tallied five shots, three on goal for the Mustangs. Harmon tallied two shots for Morningside as the Mustangs outshot the Warriors 12-9. Kyla Syverson recorded three saves playing 45 minutes. Isabel Ter Weeme played the other 45 minutes in goal for Morningside.
Morningside is back in action against Mount Marty Oct. 21 in Yankton.
