Determined Mustangs play to draw with Jamestown

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – A determined Morningside women's soccer squad left the pitch with a draw 2-2 against the University of Jamestown, who was receiving votes in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics coaches' poll.

Morningside drew first blood, as Lisann Evert took a free kick, slipping through Jamestown's keeper's gloves, in the first half. The Mustangs would take the 1-0 lead into the locker room before the Jimmies retaliated in the second half with two goals inside of a minute.

The Mustangs put in no shortage of effort as they continued to pick at UJ's armor, with Roselynn Bosman putting in the equalizer with minutes left on the clock.

Morningside takes to the road on Wednesday, traveling to Orange City, Iowa and Northwestern College for a 7:15 p.m. contest.
