Second half scoring burst puts Morningside past Warriors

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Warriors held a 1-0 lead at the half, but Morningside poured on three goals in the final 45 minutes to pick up a 3-1 win over Waldorf Wednesday night at Elwood Olsen Stadium. 

The Mustangs applied pressure all night, tallying 40 shots, 20 on goal, in the match. Keyera Harmon had eight shots, six of which were on goal. 

Morningside trailed 1-0 at the intermission, but it evened the score with a goal from Roselynn Bosman in the 53rd minute. Bosman also assisted on the final goal of the match. Sina Feeser scored in the 75th minute to give the Mustangs the lead and Harmon scored the final goal for some added cushion on the lead. 

Isabel Ter Weeme recorded the win in goal, facing two shots on the night as the defense stood strong.

The Mustangs play host to Jamestown Saturday night at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
