Morhac to lead women's program
Former Clarke College head men's and women's program leader Ben Morhac was recently designated as Morningside College's first women's lacrosse head coach, according to athletic director Tim Jager and head men's coach Keith Lindgren.
Morhac guides the Mustangs into their inaugural campaign as a club team this spring. During his tenure with the Crusaders, he had two players named all-conference, and the men's program broke 23 team records and 14 individual records while the women's program broke 20 team records and 19 individual records.
Before his stint at Clarke, Morhac served as the head boys coach at Bexley High School in Bexley, Ohio from 2014-16. He's also held coaching positions at Big Walnut High School in Sunbury, Ohio from 2013-14 and Westerville South High School in Westerville, Ohio from 2012-13. While in college, Morhac also spent a season coaching at local De Pere High School in De Pere, Wis., for one season.
He attended St. Norbert College from 2006-10 where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design while competing for the Green Knights. Morhac was a four-year starting goalie in which he gained all-league accolades in each season and was co-captain for three years while being among the leaders for the program to gain its first loop title in 2010. Before attending St. Norbert, he attended Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio where he was a four-year letter winner and cited as an All-Region Team Division II and All-Ohio Team Division II goalie.
