Mustangs take second place at Mount Marty Invite

YANKTON, S.D. – Lucy Brown was Morningside's top finisher in this week's Mount Marty Invite, leading the Mustangs to a third place team finish. Brown's two-round total of 154 strokes was just three behind the leader, good for fourth place individually.

Brown was followed by Alysen Sander, who finished sixth with a 157, Aidan Sander at 166, and Ainsley Hergert at 170. 

Morningside's team total of 647 came in at 71 strokes over par, 21 behind event champion Bellevue.

The Mustangs are on the course next Sept. 16 and 17, competing in the highly competitive Northwest Iowa National Invitational in Le Mars, Iowa.
