
Consistent scores gives Morningside second tournament win of the season

Iowa Western led the field after day one Wednesday at Two Rivers in Dakota Dunes. The Mustangs trailed the leaders by nine, but Aiden Sander led the field with a 1-over par 72 after day one.
The Mustangs repeated their first day total of 318 on the second day to finish with 636 strokes. The Mustangs beat out Iowa Western by one and Briar Cliff by 34 to round out the top three.
Individually, Sofia Castelan tied for the top spot, ultimately falling in a playoff to Iowa Western's Baylie Pyke. Sander placed third at 11-over and Ainsley Hergert tied for 10th at 21-over.
Alysen Sander took solo 16th at 23-over to round out the scorers for the Mustangs. Lauren Carr tied for 17th at 25-over to lead the Morningside "B" team, which placed ninth. Lucy Brown tied for 22nd at 27-over.
Morningside is back in action Monday at Tuesday at Northwest Iowa National Invitational in Le Mars.
