HASTINGS, Neb. – The Morningside women's bowling team battled through tough competition to win the Bronco Invite Saturday and Sunday in Hastings, Nebraska.

The Mustangs finished the two day event with 7,768 pins to be in third place overall, with the top four teams making the match play playoffs. The Mustangs beat Columbia in the semifinals and Iowa Central in the finals.

Carissa Johnson placed sixth and Rachel Spier 12th for the Mustangs.

Next up for the Mustangs is a trip to Davenport, Iowa to compete in the Leatherneck Classic Saturday and Sunday.
