
Mustangs allow just one run in sweep of Concordia
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – In what might be starting to feel a little bit like the movie Groundhog Day for the players, coaches, and fans of Morningside Softball, the Mustangs hosted yet another home Great Plains Athletic Conference doubleheader today, sweeping the Concordia Bulldogs 8-0 and 7-1.

Adeline Fliege threw another five inning complete game, her second of the week. The freshman had two strikeouts while holding the Bulldogs to a .211 batting average.
Paige Schuster, Mackenzi Harrel, and Josie Hernandez all had two-hit ball games. Jenna Skradski tattooed a ball down the left field line for a pair of RBIs, joining Harrel for the pair of extra base hits for the team. Harrel and Hernandez ended the game with two RBIs each, while Skradski had three.
Morgan Secora both went the distance in the circle and at the plate in the nightcap, throwing a complete game with eight strikeouts and five hits and crushing a grand slam to left center in the third inning.
Secora and Harrel had two home runs and six RBIs between them in the contest. Harrel also added another double to her season total.
The Mustangs waste no time getting back on the diamond, playing Briar Cliff at historical Hubbard Park on Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
