Men's wrestling has five NAIA scholar athletes

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar Athletes for men's wrestling today, with the honorees being announced ahead of the national championships in Wichita, Kan.

Morningside had five athletes receive the scholar-athlete distinction this year, Wyatt Skuodas, Nicholas Walters, Jakob Jerabek, Brenick Birks Hoppe, and Evan Shell.

In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
