Gbaley places first in the much-anticipated Sioux City Relays
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Track and field fans and athletes alike couldn’t have asked for much better weather as Morningside Men’s Track and Field competed on familiar territory this weekend at Elwood Olsen Stadium for the Sioux City Relays.

Kumunule Gbaley took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.54 seconds, improving from a second-place spot in the preliminary heats.
Jaydon Moore crossed sixth in the 200-meter dash, with Leighton Olesen eighth and Gbaley 12th. Moore leaned to finish in 22.03 seconds, while Olesen crossed at 22.27 and Gbaley at 22.62 seconds.
Theo Moseman finished fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.42 seconds, followed by Kadyn Cline in ninth at 50.93, and Jack Kling in 14th with a time of 51.74 seconds.
Boston Riedmann placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:00.53, and fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.13.
Parker Halder placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:18.90, closely followed by RC Hicks in sixth at 4:22.41.
In field events, Cade Johnson took second in the triple jump, with a distance of 13.29 meters. Lynx Gregoire placed sixth in the long jump at 6.09 meters, and Tom Moss took fifth in the javelin throw with a distance of 43.90 meters.
Olesen, Gbaley, Lane Kruger, and Jaydon Moore placed second in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 41.39 seconds. Cline, Johnson, Laken Bellis, and Moseman took fourth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:22.75.
The Mustangs return to action April 16 and 17 in Orange City, Iowa at the Red Raider Open.
